PARENTS MEETING: Preparing Students & Parents for the Year Ahead
Thursday October 10th 2024Parents Meeting of Academic Year 2023/2024 was held on Saturday, July 15, 2023. For Grade 1 and transferred-students’ parents, the meeting was divided into two sessions. The first session was carried out in the Student Center which included opening remarks by Mr. Risal, Al Azhar 55’s Principal and Mrs. Vita, the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, where they explained general information about the school and Academic information. After that, other information related to the learning activities was explained by homeroom teachers in their classrooms.
For Grades 2 to 5, Parents Meeting was conducted in each classroom. Explanation and discussion about learning and rules in general are handled directly by each homeroom teacher.
Meanwhile, for grade 6, Parents Meeting went as it did for Grade 1, but at a different time, i.e. after grade 1 was finished. Again, Mr. Risal and Ms. Risvita spoke of different subjects. This time, they explained about grade 6’s preparation for subjects, examinations and graduation.
Parents meeting is a session where parents and teachers discuss school programs, policies and regulations which support students’ learning. This is to make sure that parents are well-informed about the programs so as to be able to encourage students to do their best. By then, the one year journey ahead will go smoothly. Or, even when a problem emerges, both parents and the school are ready with the solutions.
