Al Azhar 55 Scout Camp
Thursday October 10th 2024To foster students’ independence, Al Azhar 55 conducted a scout camp, in which we stayed one night in the tents we set up in the school area. The first activity was the flag-raising ceremony and opening. Led by the principal and all the ceremony officers, the ceremony went well.
The next activity was setting up the tents. This activity was for them to practice to communicate and collaborate within their group members. After setting up the tent, we had Ashar prayer in the masjid together. By doing that, we learned how to do salat on time and manage the time wisely.
The next activity was a cross campus challenge. There were posts where each of them had a scout leader and an accompanying teacher to facilitate scouting material and games. Post one was about Dasa Dharma of the scout and teamwork games. Post two was about the box and morse codes. Post three was about semaphore and the last one was about rigging and first aid or P3K.
In the evening we had performances with the themes of independence and creativity. After that, students got back to their tents and got ready to sleep. The next morning we did some gymnastics together, had breakfast and conducted the closing ceremony. Before it was officially closed, we announced the winners of the cross campus challenges.
